Thieves targeted Pedal Power earlier this week and made off with over ten thousand pounds worth of new bikes. A huge Facebook campaign has seen the news spread far a wide in a bid to catch the thieves – it even made front page news in this weeks West Lothian Courier.
Pedal Power was targeted on Sunday night at around 21:30hrs. The thieves broke into their storage unit and made off with 18 boxed and un-made-up bikes. A silver Ford Transit van [YP57 YGO] was seen in the area.
Jonathan McBain, the Pedal Power owner, obviously devastated about the break-in said; “We are amazed at how the local cycling community and media are helping us to catch the thieves. After just one simple Facebook post about the break-in has seen it go almost viral around the UK and into Europe. We’d ask anyone with information about the break-in to come forward and help us retrieve the bikes.”
The bikes stolen were all Giant’s and include the following models. If anyone is offered one of these bikes new or see any on social media or auction sites to get in-touch with Pedal Power on 01506 873123 or email
