Frog Bikes

Frog Bikes are a small British company dedicated to making cycling fun for children. They believe that the lighter the bike, the easier it is for children to learn to ride, and to enjoy it more as they progress. Many children’s bikes on the market weigh nearly as much as the child!

Frog set about re-designing the kids’ bike, sourcing a light but strong aluminium frame, and hand-picking components that offer a high performance without compromising the weight.

The founders, Jerry and Shelley, are a couple who have 2 small children of their own – both keen cyclists. So they know something about what motivates children to get on their bikes! Since the first prototype arrived, the bikes have always been robustly tested by the children and all their friends.

The Frog business environment is also an important factor in all the decisions we make as a business, from recycled packaging to the green electricity they use in the warehouse and the office – they are even planning a unique trade-in service in the future which will help encourage more kids [and their parents] into keep cycling!

Frog bikes are one of Pedal Power’s top kids bike suppliers and their new range of Team Sky bikes are bound to go down a storm!

Giant bikes

Giant was founded in 1972 with a mission: to create better bikes and improve the cycling experience. From the very start, innovation and manufacturing expertise set them apart.

It began with the lightweight chromoly frames. Giant’s ability to produce high-quality bikes at an affordable price allowed more riders to experience cycling in a whole new way. Since then, Giant has pioneered advancements in both aluminium and composite engineering. They introduced the first affordable carbon fibre bike, the Cadex 980 C, and revolutionized high-performance road bikes with the Compact Road Design. In mountain biking, Giant’s Maestro Suspension established a new level of performance for off-road riding and racing.

Over the last four decades, Giant has grown well beyond its manufacturing roots to become the world’s leading brand of quality bicycles and gear. With more than 12,000 retail partners worldwide, including Pedal Power Scotland, they aim to inspire adventure in all riders, from casual to competitive – both young and old.

Giant bikes win world championships. They win design awards, too. But most importantly, they win the hearts of riders who choose to make cycling a part of their lives. Giant support that choice and think it makes the world a better place.
